Refer to this guide below to adjust the time setting on your Hikvision devices (DVR, NVR, IP camera etc). It’s very important to have the right time stamp on your security cameras, otherwise you’ll be in trouble if something happens and your time settings are all messed up. Always check your time stamp on your Hikvision security system and make sure it’s right. Follow the next steps to adjust time settings on Hikvision machines.
Step 1: Use your computer or laptop, open the web browser (Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari).
Step 2: Type the local IP Address of your Hikvision DVR, NVR or IP Camera in the address bar of the browser. Not sure of the local IP Address? Please use the Hikvision SADP software. (Refer to this article regarding the SADP tool).
Step 3: Login with your user name and password.
Step 4: After login, refer to below image for the steps on how to change the time. Make sure you have selected the right time zone, and remember to click “Save” after you have changed the settings. If you use the NTP settings, than the time will be adjusted through the internet and will automatically change when the clocks go behind or ahead (in the countries where this is applied).
