This guide shows how to fix the Zosi invalid password error when trying to view your cameras remotely via Zosi Smart app (on your smartphone). This username and password error is quite common on various Zosi DVR or NVR and sometimes can become frustrating.
This Zosi password error is caused by a technical glitch related to the communications between Zosi Smart app and the recorder itself.
What we have to do is to modify the credentials’ parameters so they can match the settings on the DVR. The app must have the same privileges as the admin account on the Zosi recorder. Below is the step-by-step guide.
How to fix the Zosi invalid password error on Zosi Smart app
Step 1. Open up the Zosi smart app on your phone and the three-lines icon at the top right side.
Step 2. In the Device Manager section, find your device and click the “i” icon (as shown in the picture).
Step 3. Click on Connect Parameters to edit the username and password.
Step 4. Type the username admin and enter the correct password. It should the same as the one you login locally directly to your DVR (same account).
How to fix the Zosi invalid password error on the computer
If you’re using the Zosi View software on the computer and you’re still getting the invalid password error when trying to view the cameras remotely, follow the next steps to solve the problem. Go into the Zosi software’s device management and change the password for the admin user, the same way you did for the mobile app.
Step 1. Open the Zosi View software on your computer.
Step 2. Click the button Device Management in the Control Panel.
Step 3. Choose your DVR from the list and click on Modify Parameter.
Step 4. Modify the admin password to match the one you use on the DVR (the admin account).
If this can’t help you, we suggest you delete the device from app/PC client, then re-add the DVR to the app or PC client with the correct login information
