How to find Zosi Device ID or UID

in Zosi

The so-called Zosi UID or just ID is a 20 character code and it is the camera’s (or DVR, NVR) unique ID that is used to connect to the internet remotely. If you want to see your cameras or the whole system remotely on a phone or tablet, you must use this unique number.

Based on this UID or ID you can add your Zosi camera or recorder on the Zosi Smart app, AVSS Client, or any other Zosi-made software. Then you can access and view your cameras remotely.

To cut it short, you can find the UID on the label of the device, or by accessing the software. For more, read the next illustrated section.

Where to Find Zosi Device UID or ID?

There are five methods to find the device ID/UID number of your camera, DVR, or NVR. Keep in mind that the cameras that are part of DVR/NVR kits come without a Device ID/UID. Instead, the recorder’s UID serves the cameras as well.

Find the device ID (UID) on the sticker

All devices come with a sticker (label) that contains various information such as the model, power, serial number, specs, etc.

The device ID (UID) number can be found on this label, it’s printed there, or you can scan the QR code to get it. Usually, the UID ends with 111A as shown in the pictures below.

Find the device ID (UID) on the system’s wizard

You can reboot the DVR or NVR system and wait until the Wizard Page shows and then you locate the UID on the screen (as shown below).

This assumes that you haven’t disabled the Startup Wizard. If so, check out the other methods.

Find the device ID (UID) on the Settings page

You can also locate the user ID on the Settings page of your NVR or DVR system. Log in with your credentials and then navigate to Main Menu > Information > System.

There you should see a line that says “Device ID”, besides it’s your unit’s UID, or just scan the QR code with your phone app. Additional information in this window is the Firmware Version, Hardware Version, Launch Date, etc.

Login to your device on the Zosi Smart app on your phone and you can find the device ID (UID) code on the device info page.

Navigate to My Device > Three dots > Setting and you should see your UID listed on the app. This method assumes that you have already added the device to the phone app.

Find the device ID (UID) via the AVSS client

AVSS is software made by Zosi that you can use to view and manage your cameras remotely or locally using a computer.

Login to your AVSS client on your computer, navigate to Device List, and right-click over your device. Next, click on Edit Device which brings up another window containing your UID (ID).
How to find Zosi Device ID or UIDThese are all the methods that you can use to locate the UID (ID) of your Zosi camera, DVR, or NVR. If for some reason you can’t find your UID (ID), then just call up or email Zosi technical team (or the seller/installer you provided with the equipment).

Sometimes you may need to provide proof of purchase and your ID form.
