It’s a common problem that many people experience: not being able to switch from lowercase to capital on the on-screen keyboard.
By default, on your Hikvision NVR or DVR the on-screen keyboard is shown in lowercase mode. To switch to the uppercase mode, you need to click the up arrow (as seen in the picture).
If the up arrow is colored white, it means that the lowercase is enabled. If it’s colored (usually dark blue, or simply a darker color), it means that the keyboard is in capital letters mode. So,by clicking this up arrow you can switch back and forth between lower and upper cases mode.
In case you think you’ve entered the correct password but for some reason the system keeps saying “wrong password”, then check the keyboard mode. It can be that the capital letters are activated and you’re typing in your password an uppercase letter instead of a lowercase one. Don’t be surprised, this is a pretty common issue to get a wrong password message on your Hikvison recorder.
