Locating the serial number of your Uniview camera or NVR/DVR may be tricky, especially when you need the serial number in order to recover the lost password on your CCTV equipment. In this step-by-step guide we’ll show you how to find the serial number on your device. You may need to check these articles on how to reset the password on UNV devices.
The first thing that you will need to generate a master password is the serial number of your Uniview device. Serial numbers for Uniview products are unique can be found in three locations.
1. On the device’s Identification label
This label looks like a yellow or orange barcode usually located at the back of the device. For an UNV NVR this would generally be on the bottom of the unit
On the UNV cameras it’s generally on the underside or base of the camera
2.The box/packaging
The box will also have a label with the serial number. Be careful, in many cases the camera and the box don’t match with each other and the serial number on the box may be not the correct one.
