This newly added feature on Foscam app makes it easy to share your camera with other family members which means that they can see the live view as well. Follow the next steps to share the Foscam camera.
Share Foscam camera on Foscam app
Step 1. Log in your Foscam account, go to account settings and tap on your account.
Step 2. Tap on the “My Family” and enter the family name (brother, sister, parents, etc) and his/her Foscam account, then tap on button “Invite”.
Step 3. Once you do that, your family member will receive a message on his/her account and needs to tap on “Accept Invitation”. After the invitation is accepted, they’ll be able to control the Foscam cameras from another account.
Step 4. Go to camera settings and tap on the “Share Camera” option. After that set a sharing code and let your family member know that sharing code.
So, this code is like a security measure to ensure that only authorized people can access your camera system.
Step 5. Choose the family member you want to share with under the “Share To” option. If you do not choose the family member on this page, he/she will not be able to get the video of camera on the Foscam app.
Once all these steps are done, your family member can see this camera listed on his/her Foscam account. They can tap on the play button and input sharing code to see this camera’s live video.
Basically, if the procedure is done correctly, each person can see the live view, playback the footage of all the cameras under the account, backup the recordings, and much more.
More importantly, each account’s action will be registered into the log and you can see who and what time they watched the cameras (or play it back).
