Wireless Mouse for NVR or DVR

December 23, 2020
in Buying Guide

A wireless mouse is ideal if you want to reduce the number of cables around your CCTV system or if you wish to operate the mouse from a separate room to your DVR / NVR’s location (up to 30 feet). Most of the latest recorders (such as Hikvision or Dahua) manufactured after 2015 are compatible with plug-and-play wireless bluetooth mouses. However, not all mouses work with these Linux embedded recorders. Research about your recorder before purchasing a wireless mouse.

The brand we’d recommend to use is Logitech. Hands down they make some of the best mouses out there and their prices are reasonable. A simple, reliable mouse with plug-and-play wireless. You get the reliability of a cord with wireless convenience and freedom — fast data transmission and virtually no delays or dropouts.

The one-year battery life means fewer hassles, too. If you’re looking for long-range mouses for your CCTV system, check out the list below. These mouses are compatible with Hikvision, Dahua, and most of other CCTV recorders.

Try to reboot the recorder with the receiver plugged in. Check the battery of the mouse as well.

Reboot the recorder. And maybe your mouse is all dead.

You have to plug the mouse’ transmitter into your DRV/NVR (recorder) usb port, not into the TV itself.
