The Wyze Cam is not waterproof because it was designed to work indoors and has no protection against water or dust on an outdoor environment. However, you can use a weatherproof case for your Wyze cam. You can find a water-resistant housing online. There are many sellers that offer such products.
So if you need the Wyze camera to be weatherproof you can buy a housing and put the camera inside. For example. the picture below is from a model available on Amazon. (Product name: Wyze camera wall wount bracket, Wyze Cam V2 V1).
All the weatherproof equipment follow a standard such as the IP65 rating. This means the equipment is protected against dust and water from direct rain. There are others IP (Ingress Protection) classification, but IP65 is good enough for Wyze cameras (such the one shown below and it’s available on Amazon).
It’s important to understand the housing limitation and preferably install the camera under some kind of extra protection such as a under-roof installation. Some people also use silicone to seal the cable slot and that’s a good idea.
