Error codes on Yi cameras
Yi error code 3029
This error occurs when the camera has reached a predefined maximum of connection requests. This usually can be resolved by itself, after other mobile apps discontinue their connections.
However, if the error persists, it may indicate that the camera has entered an unstable state. Restarting the camera will help resolve this error code.
Yi error code 3013
When this error is reported, the mobile phone has connected to the camera, but the phone app has not received the packet for an extended period. This is typically due to network glitches.
To fix this error, first of all, make sure your internet connection is working (or the Wi-Fi signal is strong). Restart the camera, close the phone app and reboot the router. Try again once all the devices are back on.
Yi error code 3003
This error happens when the mobile app can not establish a connection to the camera within a predefined time frame (30s). This is usually caused by network glitches. Reboot the camera and try again.
Also, it has been reported that sometimes the camera is working fine when the user is on the same location as the camera (same Wi-Fi and local network).
Once the mobile phone moves to another network (for example, 4G mobile internet, or work Wi-Fi), the camera can no longer be connected.
When this happens, usually it means that the camera can reach the Yi server, but the router where the camera connects rejects packets sent by the Yi server to the camera. Double-check the settings of your router, to make sure it does not block UDP packets.
Yi error code 3006
This indicates the camera is offline. It means that the server did not receive a signal from the camera for an extended period (5 minutes or more).
In this case, check the network to make sure the internet works fine. Reboot the camera, turn off the Wi-Fi and then try again to connect.
