In this article, we will show how to access the zoom controls (and PTZ controls) of a Hikvision camera (or recorder) when accessing it via the web browser. Using the online zoom controls or PTZ controls you can zoom in/out and pan-tilt the PTZ camera.
Hikvision offers a few IP cameras with motorized lenses and using the zoom/focus controls you can take advantage of that feature through the web browser. Obviously, if the camera is PTZ you can pan-tilt-zoom and use the presets.

Step 1. Access your Hikvision camera via web browser. Use Internet Explorer, type the IP address of the camera in the URL bar. Install any plugins if prompted.
Step 2. At the right-hand side of the Live view screen, you will see a small arrow.
Step 3. Click on that and a fly-out will appear from the right revealing all of your zoom, focus, and preset controls.
Step 4. Click on the Help button at the top right of any page for further help and information contextually appropriate to the page you are currently. Below is the help guide for the PTZ controls panel.
