In many cases, when you scan the QR code using the Zosi Smart app you may get this annoying message that says “UID Illegal”. The most common cause of the error is a case of distortion of the QR code. Basically, for some reason, the app is not able to read the correct QR code (maybe the ID label is damaged or kind of erase).
If this is the case, on starting the device add process, you should see a pencil icon in the top-right corner of the screen when your camera comes on. Click the pen icon (edit) and re-scan the QR code.
Or you can click “Manually enter device UID” to enter the device ID manually. UID is an abbreviation for the User ID.
If you select this, you’ll be taken to a screen where you can manually enter the device ID. This should allow you to add the Zosi CCTV device and eventually see your cameras on your phone.
