Lorex Default Password

Marco Albertini by Marco Albertini
in Lorex

Many Lorex NVRs, DVRs and IP cameras are shipped out with default usernames and default password. In this article we will list the default admin accounts for Lorex (and FLIR) equipment. Also, keep in mind that if you restore your Lorex DVR or NVR security system to default settings, the username and password will also be restored to default.

Lorex default password

Default login for most LHV / LNR Series systems (DVR or NVR):

  • Username: admin
  • Password: 000000

Default login for most LHA / LNK Series systems (DVR or NVR):

  • Username: admin
  • Password: 00000000

Also you can try the admin account listed below. These accounts are the same across all the Lorex DVRs and NVRs. Try all of those to see which one works for your recorder.

  • Username: admin
  • Password: admin
  • Username: 888888
  • Password: 888888

  • Username: 666666
  • Password: 666666

  • Username: admin
  • Password: 123456

  • Username: admin
  • Password: 0000

If the default username and password above does not work, refer to your user manual for the model-specific default information for your system.

Important note: Many Lorex NVRs or DVRs come without a password, the first time you run the machine you’ll be asked to create your username and password. So, technically these recorders have no default passwords.

Lorex IP cameras: Default username and password

When using Lorex IP cameras, it is always recommended to connect them to a compatible NVR. NVR installations are easier to view, manage, and maintain than stand-alone IP cameras, and require just a single login to view all cameras connected to the system.

For those who must connect to IP cameras directly without the use of an NVR, the login information below is applicable to most Lorex IP cameras.

Default password and username for most of Lorex IP cameras:

  • Username: admin
  • Password: admin

For security reasons, many new IP cameras with up-to-date firmware will ask you to change the default login information the first time you access the camera. In these cases, the default login information will not grant you access to the camera.

Older IP cameras may not use the default logins above. If the credentials above do not work, refer to your user manual for your camera’s default username and password (or try the passwords listed above at the NVR/DVR section).
