Alarm.com runs their OEM line of ADC cameras that are easy to reset. However, each ACD camera has a slightly different reset procedure that depends on the type of the camera. Most of the ADC can be factory reset by pressing and holding the reset button for a few seconds.
After the factory reset is performed on an ADC camera, the device should remain plugged-in and you have to wait for at least two (2) minutes. Once the connection comes back, the camera should be on factory default settings.
Thing to keep in mind when resetting an ADC Alarm.Com camera:
- Before doing a reset on any Alarm.com ADC camera, you should wait at least two minutes after the device has been powered on. Attempting to perform a factory reset before the camera has fully powered on could cause the reset to fail which means you have to do it again.
- Factory resetting an Alarm.com ADC camera will NOT delete it from an account. You will still need to remove/delete the camera from the existing account before you will be able to add it to a new one.
