It’s possible to add a single Hikvision IP camera to the Guarding Vision app which lets you view the camera, playback, backup and perform other tasks. Keep in mind that to playback from a stand alone IP camera, the device needs to support and have a CCTV-rated microSD card installed.

In this guide we will show the steps on how to add a stand alone IP camera to the Guarding Vision app (phone or tablet). The instructions are applicable for a Hikvision branded or non-branded IP security camera (OEM version).

Add stand alone IP camera to Guarding Vision app

Step 1. Type the IP address of your camera into the Internet Explorer url bar. You’ll be prompted with the login screen, enter the username and the password for the camera.

Once you’re in, navigate to Configuration > Network > Advanced Settings > Platform Access.
