If you have been notified from the Hik-Connect app that there is a new and improved version of Hik-Connect 4.3 but you can’t find the new version on Google Play, you’re not the only one having this issue.
Unfortunately, Hikvision decided to no longer maintain apps in the Google Play store. This change is most likely caused by the US-China trade war.
Instead, Hikvision provides the new version of the Hik-Connect 4.3 for download directly on their website. You can go to support and then tools or go directly to: https://appstore.hikvision.com/ and download the latest version of the app (Hik-Connect version: 4.25.0.0812).
The app is available on the Apple store, only Android users have to download the app via the Hikvision site.

Is the app safe for downloading?
When you download the Hik-Connect 4.3 from Hikvision’s website, you will be notified that “this type of file can harm your device”.
As long as you download the app from the Hikvision site, you’re good and safe. Make sure you get the app directly from Hikvision and not unverified third-party websites.
