The scan function on a Zosi DVR or NVR is a very useful feature in case you want to cycle the cameras around. Or even if you want to show certain cameras only. By using the Scan feature, you can have the cameras tour around 4 by 4 with an interval of 5 seconds. Other options are available such as one camera at a time, 2×2, 3×3 etc. Either way, this guide shows how to set the tour mode on a Zosi DVR or NVR.
How to tour the cameras on Zosi DVR
Right click and find the “Start Scan / Stop Scan” from DVR’s menu.
For example, if you bought a 8CH Zosi DVR with 4 cameras and don’t want the monitor to show all channels, you can click “Multi” to select the channels you want to show.
Note: In this case don’t click “Start Scan”. Otherwise, the settings will not be saved, it will jump to the default channels automatically.
If you want the monitor to display different channels in tour mode, you can click “Start Scan” then click “Multi” to select the channel. The default interval is 5 seconds.
Also, you can also go to DVR’s Main Menu > Setup > Live > Main Monitor to set up the Display Mode (1×1, 2×2, 3×3, etc), Interval (after how many seconds to switch). After that, click “Apply” to save the settings.
Once the settings are done, the cameras will switch in a tour mode. For example, first camera comes full screen on the monitor/TV, stays 5 seconds and then switches to the second camera and so on. Or you have have them 2 by 2, 4 by 4, etc.
