Wyze error code 0 means that the camera is not able to connect to the internet and shows up mostly to iPhone and iPad’s users (iOS systems). The camera works fine when you’re on the same WiFi or network, however as soon as you leave the location the “Connection failed (error code 0)” pops in your Wyze app and you can’t see any live images.
The most frustrating thing with error code 0 is that you’ll get notifications of movement and you can actually watch the clips on playback, but yet you cannot get to the live feed most of the time. Sometimes the camera shows up, a few minutes later no image.
How to fix Wyze error code 0
There are a few factors that cause this error. Follow the tips below to solve the issue:
- This error is related to the internet connection and most of the time shows up if your internet connection is slow or unstable. Especially if you’re away from the camera and the internet on your phone is acting up (slow). So, first make sure that the internet is working properly. Second, reduce the image quality of the camera from HD to SD, try out any lower qualities and see if you can see the live feed. When in low quality mode, the remote streaming is faster.
- Update the firmware on the camera. It has been reported that many times Wyze error code 0 is caused by software problems with the camera. Wyze engineers have fixed most of these bugs, so make sure your camera is running the latest software. Also, update the phone app.
- Another suggestion is to pull out the microSD card, insert it back a few seconds later and reboot the camera. You may need to reformat the microSD card and try again if you see the live view of your camera. Use a good microSD card.
- Lastly, your Wyze camera may be bad and you should ask for a replacement. If the error code 0 is constant and never goes away, even if you’ve updated the firmware, return it to the seller and get a new one.
